Event Details

In 2005, Beth Donovan weighed 460 pounds. She was bedridden, in constant pain, and felt hopeless. Today, Beth has lost 230 pounds, walks on her own, exercises, and she feels in control of her life again. In 2004, Tina Wiseley weighed 382 pounds. In pain and with serious health problems, including out-of-control blood pressure, her doctor told her she was facing a life or death situation. Now Tina weighs 220 pounds. Both ladies faced what most of us would describe as an insurmountable task, losing not ten or twenty pounds, but half of their body weight...and they’re still going! Tina chose bariatric surgery with exercise, and Beth chose weight loss through diet and exercise alone. On Monday, February 18, at 6 p.m. at the Noblesville Library they will share their stories, strategies for weight loss, the pros and cons of bariatric surgery, gastric bypass, and natural weight loss. They have lost 230 and 160 pounds, respectively, and they’re still going! They will share tips on how to handle emotional eating, binge eating, and holidays, and share simple exercises for the mobility-impaired. This program is free and open to the public. Registration is requested but not required. To register, call 776-6939 or register on-line at help.lib.in.us. For more information about Beth and Tina visit bloometc.com or search for Beth Donovan’s blog online.
