Would you like to read to a dog? Bring your favorite book or choose one with the help of a librarian and spend some time reading out loud to a special furry friend!
A representative from Love on a Leash will have local volunteers here with their registered therapy dog. Reading to dogs helps kids build self-esteem and confidence as well as valuable reading skills.
Sign up for a 15 minute time slot the day of the program; sign up sheets will be available our Children's Help Desk. At this time LOAL can only provide one dog, we hope to add more dogs to this program in the future. This program is for readers 5 and up.
