Event Details

Join Ignite as we celebrate Women's History Month by highlighting women who changed the art world. Alma Thomas developed her own unique visual style while studying at Howard University, becoming one of the few African-American women during her era to earn an art degree. From her paintings of nature and those inspired by the moon landing, she had a minimalist style all her own. Explore abstraction and collage as you create your own images in Thomas' distinctive style. You must register for this program to get a supply pack and the Zoom link. Space is limited. Ages 13 and up.
Event Type(s): Ignite Programs, Adult Programs, Teen Programs
