#LetsMoveInLibraries and dance! This “Dance Around the World” workshop series will introduce participants to a variety of cultures and dance styles.

Bollywood is a fusion of traditional and classical Indian dances with the influence of some jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance. It is a creative mixture of technique, energy, and emotion but most of all massive fun! Learn poses, hand and foot movements, expression, and grace—all integral parts of Bollywood dance. The meanings of the songs are explored, and participants will dance and act them out.

Registration is required for this introductory workshop, and it is open to adults and teens (grades 6 and up). All participants will be required to sign a waiver of liability for physical activity upon arrival—minors must have a parent/guardian complete the waiver.
