Chow + Chanties (An Oceans of Possibilities Experience)

5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Event Details

Location Update 6/13/22: Due to projected high heat index, we will move the event indoors to the East/Center/Stage rooms at the Fishers Library.

Want a taste of the ocean life? Jump into the deep end with Tuning Forks and be immersed in the food and music of the sea. Enjoy a free meal featuring BBQ Shrimp Skewers & Seaweed Salad (vegan option will be available), while relaxing to an original soundscape inspired by traditional sea chanties and performed live! This new work will be performed by Clockwork, an Indy-based Oboist & Composer, and Leon Johnson, from the modern classical project "Airport People."

Join us on the grounds in the Center meeting room of Fishers Library to experience Chow + Chanties, and let Tuning Forks take your imagination on an amazing voyage in celebration of the library’s Summer Reading Program theme, Ocean of Possibilities. Register each person in your party separately to reserve your meal(s). If registration is full, a limited number of first-come, first-served meals will be available to walk-ins.

Event Type(s): Adult Programs, Teen Programs, Family Programs
