The Noblesville Mayor Docket Books begin on May 18, 1887, the same year that Noblesville was incorporated as a city, and continue through October 9, 1950. These criminal court cases heard by the mayor are mostly minor in nature and the variety of charges range from intoxication to assault and battery to a few unusual charges. The library received grant funds from the U. S. Institute on Museum and Library Services, administered by the Indiana State Library to scan these court records. A few of the cases will be discussed. Registration is requested but not required to attend this program.
