Event Details

Have you ever considered being a host family for a foreign exchange student? On Thursday , February 20, at 7 p.m. at the Noblesville Library, Dorothee Cooke from IE-USA, a non-profit student exchange program, will explain how the program works, who's eligible to host, the teens involved as exchange students, about IE-USA, and how to get involved. This program will also provide valuable information for teens who may want to participate as exchange students themselves. Exchange students are well educated, well-rounded, and brave, 15 and 16 year-old international students from countries such as Germany, Finland, Brazil, Italy and China. Anyone can be a host including families with or without children, single moms or dads, and grandparents. This talk is free and open to the public. Registration is requested but not required. Parents bring your teens, teens bring your parents, and everyone bring your thirst for adventure and your questions. To register call the library at 776-6939 or register online at www.hepl.lib.in.us.
