Event Details

Hamilton East Public Library is pleased to announce an appearance by Hamilton County writer K.B. Laugheed, author of the sensational new historical novel, The Spirit Keeper (Plume, $16.00). Ms. Laugheed will discuss and sign copies of her book at the Fishers branch of the library, located at 5 Municipal Drive, Fishers, IN, on Thursday, November 7, from 7 to 8 p.m. This event is sponsored by Nickel Plate Arts. The Spirit Keeper is a captivity narrative which begins in 1747 when a 17-year-old girl is removed from her frontier Pennsylvania home during an Indian massacre. As the terrified captive’s fate unfolds in the rich setting of an unexplored America, The Spirit Keeper becomes a great adventure, an irresistible romance, and a poignant account of the universal struggle for understanding, which is why there’s something for everyone in this book. Before you, too, get carried away by this amazing journey, please visit the author's website at www.kblaugheed.com to view the trailer for The Spirit Keeper. Then come meet K.B. Laugheed herself at the Fishers Library on November 7.
