AARP Drivers Safety Class

12:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Fishers Library
Fishers Center

Event Details

The practice of driving has changed significantly over the last 20 years. Many of the rules that you remember from your student driving days don’t pertain any longer and, more importantly, your body and health has changed, too. On Friday, May 3, 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mr. Tomlin of the AARP Drivers Safety Program will offer a four hour course for senior citizens on drivers safety at the Fishers Library. The purpose of the class is for older drivers to better understand the updated technologies in new vehicles, refresh on the rules of the road, and learn strategies to compensate for age-related changes. There is book fee of $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members, payable to AARP the first day of class. Completion of this class could result in a discount on your auto insurance. To register call the library at 776-6939 or visit www.hepl.lib.in.us. For further information contact Melissa at 770-3235. (Please note: This program is not offered free to veterans or their family members at this time. We apologize for the error in previous communications.)
